Bought to replace my Tundra, so far it's been a much better all around truck. The tons of storage has been fantastic for loading up all our stuff for trips (family of 4). Sure it has some quality issues, but the only one I would classify as significant is the 12V issue that bricked my truck. My wife was originally pretty doubtful of an EV but she has come around, she has a R1S supposedly to be delivered in the next couple months (3/19 reservation).

Looks like y'all are getting maximum adventure usage between the kayaks, bikes, and boat!

You guys are killin it!

I can't wait for all the camping etc my wife and I will do. Also, like the cooler approach in the spare tire area.

Nice to hear about a positive experience for a change. Car forums are so littered with complaints and bad ownership experiences.

thanks for posting and glad to hear you are enjoying the truck! This is how I intend to haul my kayak as well.

Can you comment on your experience getting the kayaks on and off the roof?

Were you able to see a significant efficiency hit with the kayaks up there?

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
As an owner of a Voodoo Blue Tundra, I salute you. I’ll miss the vroom-vroom sounds, but it’s neat to see people out there using their adventure trucks for exactly the types of things it was designed for. Enjoy!!

Well it works pretty well getting them up there with the slanted holder. If I wanted to put two on the same holder it would be pretty tricky. The kayaks are about 60lbs and I'm 6'4" and I can get them up there without too much problem but my height I think really helps here as you have to get them above your head, that said suspension wasn't in lowest mode.

Yeah there is a huge hit. I haven't done any long trips with them but looked like 1.5 whr/m compared to 2 before.

That fridge was too tall to fit under cover. I later got a smaller one. The plus, now I have two fridges and on our week long trip up north I had plenty of fridge and freezer room for the week.

Excellent usage on the R1T. Can you tell what bike attachment you use for the truck, and is that the position of the 4 bikes when the R1T is moving? We're a family of 5 and looking to find the right bike attachment. Can you tell me the fridge brand. Thanks.

Northshoreracks I have the 4 bike one but they make bigger ones. I love it, all sturdy steel, holds heavy e bikes without issue, it holds by the forks so tire size, bike length etc don't matter. I used it when my kids were on tiny bikes. Very fast to load bikes as well. Can't say enough good things about it. Here is another picture, without fisheye lense, yes this is where the bikes are during driving. It does effect the range some. I've used the more mainstream brands before and usually they had size limits or some strap broke, this doesn't have those issues. Fridges are engel brand, metal one is 35 quart I think, plastic(marine) is 40.

So, I can be fit like you guys once I get my R1? I just have to buy a bunch of kayaks, bikes and other outdoor toys? The last time I went camping was before I started shaving. So, it's been a few years. You are my inspiration! Thank you for sharing. Keep enjoying the R1.

How was towing your pontoon boat? What do you estimate it's total weight including the trailer to be?
