Thought this might be useful as the center console is a topic of frequent frustration... and tips! ... for the community.

Thanks in large part to these forums, I ordered the StowNCharge by Adventure High Tech ("Drive, Stow, Charge: Your MagSafe Solution for the Open Road") and it is a great solution.
  • It looks great and feels as premium as the original piece. This was a major concern of mine.
  • The MagSafe clicks immediately and firmly - and I use a small attachment on the back of my phone already (as evidenced by some of the visible marking / dust!). It still clicks easily and firmly.
  • Pay extra and use the Apple MagSafe puck. It is way faster than non-Apple units. Worth the extra money if you are going to spend for this anyhow.
  • The sliding storage piece is nice, easy to access, and far more useful than the simple slit in the original piece
  • Installation is relatively easy. You have to watch the video a few times but its pretty straight forward. Clicking the unit in is a trial of experiments... but eventually it just clicks!

I agree with your thoughts and impressions. I've had my tray installed since July and it still looks and works perfect.

This would be awesome without the charger- perfect place for a set of glasses!

I thought that too. The opening is too shallow and cannot hold a sunglass (at least my Maui Jim polarized).

Instead it holds my toll road transponder, pen, nail file/emory board, and a small Swiss army knife.

I've had mine for several months and it is so much better than the OE.

Doesn't seem to work as well with my phone. I have to keep moving it around to find the spot so am not as happy with mine as you are with yours. <shrug>

I could not agree more. I ordered this before I even had my car. Best thing I’ve ordered for it yet.

Very cool. How does it work on the Max size iPhones? My wife and I have those and I have read things where these chargers (not just this one) don't work well on the larger phones.

Mine works great. At first, I tried to move the phone around immediately to find the sweet spot. Now that I have found the general spot if I just place it there and leave it a second, it works great. I've also found it much better than the original at charging two phones

Does this not come with built in wireless chargers? Am I correct in assuming that you have to add Apple MagSafe charger or the JSAUX one they offer? Do these slide inside the body of it or what?
