what do you mean? just buy it from the Gear Shop, they are available there now.

I tried to buy one (twice today), but they literally told me 'legal' would not allow R1S owners to buy the full sized spare, which they said was for R1T's only. You can't just buy it anonymously, you need to call Rivian service and provide your account info, so they can tell which vehicles you have.

ah got it. sounds like there's some kind of liability issue if they allow an R1S owner to buy a full size spare? i wonder if they would allow you to buy if you signed a waiver or would that also nullify any warranty? or is it something else i wonder.

theres this affordable alternative that i was considering buying before they stocked the Gear Shop and before i knew i could get pre-3/1 price increase price on the spare. it obviously wont look the same but you'll have a full size spare.
