Would there be any issues keeping Ride Height at "Low" full time, while in AP

I run in low 90% of the time. I aligned it in low. Excellent, even tire wear for me. I’ll probably get 36-40k miles with 5 way rotation on AT OEM tires. I replace tires at 4/32”. I would ignore the suspension and tire wear comments. People that run in auto and drive mostly freeway run in low more that 50% of the time.

That would be me. My tire wear is even side to side.

It's a no brainer to add running boards for the benefits of your wife. The first thing I would do.
I second that-running boards. I wouldn't consider my wife short at 5'8" but she complained enough for me to get the running boards. She is happy now so all is well. Keep in mind the same woman complained that my 911 was too low.

One feature request I'd have for Rivian is to allow an option to begin entering kneel mode once a specific garage door is opened. That should give it sufficient time to finish the kneel while one pulls into the garage.

Another option they could also provide is to begin the kneel once you begin approaching your home location, or when approaching a set destination in Navigation.

Understood that the above won't solve all the cases, but it would be a start.

If your wife is like mine, 5’2”, and never cleans out her car, she could learn to use the kneeling time to gather her junk and take it into the house. PS, if your wife is like mine, she won’t appreciate you pointing this out.
Your wife and mine must be related. My wife also uses her car as a garbage dump. Although to her credit, since she got her BMW she keeps it pretty clean.

I run mine in sport lowest unless it's inclement weather. As long as you're rotating tires at the recommended 7500 miles, it shouldn't matter too much with the increased wear. I prefer the handling dynamics of the car in lowest over the AP mode which is much floatier and SUV like than the sportier feel of the low settings. To me that's worth the extra wear.

Increased tire wear is your only issue with keeping it on low all the time. Ride comfort will suffer a little bit too.

To expand on the tire issue, when at standard hight the tires are straight, but on low the tilt in a little and on high they tilt out a little (the term is camber angle if you want to google it). So on low the inside edges of your tires will wear faster.
We once read in lowest the suspension travel is limited.
We wonder if it would compromise anything hitting a catastrophic stumbling block.
PM please we don’t go here often

Running boards will rust and disrupt the air flow. Save that money and send her to the gym instead.

My wife is 4’10” and has no complaints on jumping on up there.

I run my Gen2 Tri in low most of the time because I have found that it reduces all my nasty suspension rattle and clatter. In AP Standard height its sounds and feels like a bucket of loose bolts. In AP Low, it sounds like a couple aluminum cans rattling around. Much better.

This ^^^

I have also noticed that riding in AP High reduces the suspension rattle. But my shorty wife absolutely loves the running boards, so I can run whichever height I please.

In my Gen1 I find that hitting a bump on the freeway directly couples to your butt in low. Standard allows the suspension to absorb some of that shock.

My problem is for some reason Kneel does not work in my driveway because of the slope, so if I don't enter my driveway already in low it will be in some half standard half low for some reason the right side will go down the left side will stay high (works fine on flat ground)

I was always the first one out the car door and it was “lead, follow or get out of the way!” to the rest of the family. I have learned to slow down, smell the ozone and wait for my Rivian to kneel down to (for) me.

My wife is short and has difficulty exiting our R1S. I'm aware of "Kneeling", but we always forget to not open the doors after parking. before kneeling has completed.

If I take it off "Auto" Ride Height, when I start driving, and set for "Low", we find that it's low enough for her to exit.
It'll be a stiff and bumpy ride if you keep it in the lowest position all the time.
