***** Solution is in post #4 *****

I am getting my winter tires taken off at a local tire shop and they noticed two studs on a front tire were damaged and needed replacement.

The part number that Rivian gave me is only accessible to Rivian I guess as no other information on it is available:

PT 00805375-A

I live two hours from the nearest Rivian Service Centre. Barring needing to have my vehicle towed;

Is this stud Rivian-only or will any stud work - if so, what exactly are the details for these studs? Length/thread pattern, etc.

Am I able to get this done at the local tire shop or will this void any warranty if they need to move the brakes in order to change the part? Will this affect the warranty for the entire electrical system?

Thanks!

Hi - thanks for the reply. I was reading that post originally but wasn't able to confirm the warranty-side of things. Or any exact specification of the stud as several are mentioned. While it looks like it should be a basic mechanical fix - Rivian makes their stud seem like it's unique to them alone, and are not clear regarding any movement of the brakes and how it can/cannot affect the regen and such.

Essentially I'm just looking to dot my Is and cross my Ts here.

Alright - if anyone needs to know;

My local tire shop went with a M14-1.50 Serrated Wheel Stud. They used the same stud that they had on record for the Electric Hummer.

No brake parts needed to be toyed with as they simply replaced the broken studs as opposed to replacing the entire wheel hub assembly that many other Rivian owners mentioned was their only solution.

Voiding the warranty was my main concern but thankfully nothing other than the studs were dealt with.

Hopefully Rivian makes this a bit easier moving forward. This tire shop has dealt with numerous other EVs but didn't have the problem obtaining basic information for this that we had.

Also - the wheel lugs that came with my vehicle originally seemed to be designed in a slightly different way than other lug nuts I have seen. I put new lug nuts on that have a slight lip which makes it sit better on the end of the stud reducing the chance of cross-threading. The threads on my original lugs seem to start right at the opening meaning the margin for error is much greater!

Good luck!
