Anyone else have trouble opening the frunk using the physical button after you park? I came back from a grocery run, put the truck in park, got out, pressed the button to get my groceries and...nothing. No response from the button. I used my phone to lock and unlock the truck and then the frunk button worked as expected.

I've encountered this a couple of times now, so it's not a fluke, but I'm not sure why it works sometimes and other times I need to lock/unlock before it will work. Am I missing something procedural?

I attributed the inconsistency to unreliable PAAK. Hitting the button to open the frunk without the phone being visible to the truck amounts to nothing. Once the car sees the phone hitting the button works. But could just as easily be user error if I'm not understanding when the button is supposed to work.

Sometimes I have to push the button twice. I haven’t decided if I’m just not fully depressing the button sometimes,or if there’s something more.

I have run into the frunk as well as the gear tunnel releases doing the same. It's like they didn't get the memo that the truck is unlocked. Generally speaking, I believe a lock and unlock has resolved this for me. It hasn't happened many times.

Okay, problem solved. If you have the Auto-unlock in PARK setting configured to "Keep locked", the frunk, gear tunnel and tonneau along with all of the doors will remain locked. I thought this setting only applied to the doors, but I tested it and confirmed it applies to all exterior access.
