I would not want that to happen to myself and especially for my wife.I did. It's pretty low on my list of priorities though. For example much lower than my wife not having to spend 30-40 minutes on Walmart's parking lot at 10pm alone to charge.
My plan is to keep my BEV charged at home. 99% of our driving is local and less than 100 miles per day. We also have home solar.
Eliminating the ICE exhaust is actually our top priority and we are willing to accommodate for the challenges of BEV. For me personally I have felt trapped for years by the auto and oil industries.
BEV IMHO is not perfect but I think it is a step or two in the right direction. Just imagine if ICE exhaust was black and foul smelling, I bet folks would pay a lot more attention to it.
