There’s no reason Rivian couldn’t create a Valet mode. I can’t imagine it would be too difficult, so I’m surprised they haven’t done it yet.
Perhaps just let the car stay awake for 5 minutes or so, after you walk away?

I’m not sure if that accomplishes the same thing. In a Tesla the valet mode basically does a few things:
1. Locks the valet out of the GPS so they can’t look at where you have been and where your home is
2. Locks the valet out of most of the car settings
3. Restricts the speed of the car
4. Restricts acceleration of car
5. Disables autopilot
6. Prevents the Valet from disabling mobile access
7. Turns off your homelink
8. Restricts access to drive profiles
9. Restricts access to the apps available through the touch screen
10 Disables WiFi and Bluetooth and prevents pairing of new devices

This should not be a hard feature to implement for Rivian. I hope they enable this functionality soon. It would make parking when going out a lot less stressful.

I agree a valet setting or valet FOB would be nice. I use the FOB so the card or phone thing is not be an issue for me but I do not let the Valet park my car even though I do "valet" frequently. I just give them the money and park it myself up front. I realize this is odd or not normal. I had a "friend" that was a valet at nice place in Dallas and I still cringe at the stories he told. ?
