The aftermarket mats typically have a lot better/more coverage of the floors than the OEM mats. The pictures I’ve seen of the aftermarket mats look really good.

Yeah, I've seen some pics of the Rivian mats fitment, and they are not perfect by any stretch. The OEM ones on my Audi S6 and Tundra have no gaps, are tough as nails, and keep the water, mud and debris where they're supposed to be. My R1T was ordered with AW mats and they're supposed to be delivered later this month. We shall see.
