Took delivery of my R1T/Adventure in June of 2022, 13,000 miles, Boise ID
  • Absolutely no issues so far!
  • Still thoroughly enjoy driving and owning it.
  • Great all around vehicle
  • 6 camping trips with rooftop tent
  • 1 travel trailer camping trip, the hit to range was about 40%. Gasoline and diesel take a hit as well.
  • Hauled lumber, logs, stones, furniture, trees, dogs, grandson and more
  • 50% in town, 50% highway and some off road
  • No gasoline and no spewing exhaust into other folks air for 2 yrs. Love passing by gas stations.
  • No oil changes, no winterizing, no warming up, no idling
  • No issues in cold weather
  • Mostly charge at home using roof top solar
  • No issues with public charging but the proliferation of charging stations in my area is minimal
  • Great buying and service experience
  • I have been purchasing and owning vehicles for 50+ years and my R1T is the best vehicle I have ever owned.
  • I will never go back to ICE. Spewing exhaust seems selfish and inconsiderate to me.
  • The tonneau cover is still fully functional.

Just to verify, I assume "Explorer" is your name for the truck, not that you're saying you have the "Explore" trim level that never actually shipped, correct?

But definitely agree on all your points! (Except hauling grandson, don't have one of those yet.)

I am there with you. loving the R1T am approaching 1 year of ownership and when people ask how i like it, i reply, i would but it again. i travel from Vancouver to Nelson BC on a fairly regular basis some 650K or 400+ miles and stop for one charge each way.
On my first trip I charged for free in Princeton at chevron - on the go - and did the same again coming back. total trip cost if i use my rack rate for home charging at say $ .11 per KW (Canadian) - was about $ 25 for some 1300 KM - 1000Mi

Will put in a pre-order this year to replace my wifes Murano with an R2 or R3 - she would go for R3 as she thinks the Murano is too big....for costco runs and in town run around. Not for the economy of operation, just to get off the gas teat. nearly $ 2 litre here in vancouver area for gas, so the math is easy on which is more economical.

“I will never go back to ICE. Spewing exhaust seems selfish and inconsiderate to me.“

??? something we humans have been doing for over 100 years suddenly seems selfish and inconsiderate once you drive an Rivian. ICE vehicles are not going anywhere (I hope) and EV are still in their very early infant phase. I own one of each. Glad you love your Rivian tho ?

I second the "love passing by gas stations". I don't miss that at all.
