I'd like to know if anyone has mounted one of the less expensive R1t toppers and retained button controls for gear tunnel, tail gate and tonneau along with.leaving the tonneau slot unobstructed. The expensive brands have this but I'm looking for a less expensive topper ($2500 range) that either has this or can be modified.
As long as it has a flat mounting base it could be cut and drilled to make openings for the control buttons and use the Rivian quick latches to send a mounting stud vertically through the topper base.
I'm thinking about trying this but wanted to learn from others experience first. I've looked at tkmauto and autofitpro in that price range. Must be a rigid noninflatable topper.
Thanks

Flated is the only less expensive topper I'm aware of. Same issue with buttons. You just have to use the mobile app.

I have the Maverick Flated topper (bought before they introduced the Rivian specific ones) on mine, no issues accessing the buttons with the topper on. You can still get a fingertip in there for tunnel doors and tailgate.
