For all of you DFW Rivian owners, I need some assistance. I am going to book a dove hunt for this September and would love to take the Rivian on the hunt. From all that I have seen, there is a charging desert on 287 north of Denton. Unless I am missing something. I was really hoping that the Tesla charging station in Henrietta would be available, but it’s not showing on the Rivian app, and from what I can tell there isn’t anything in Wichita Falls at all. Does anyone have any firsthand information about charging in or around Wichita Falls that I may be missing? Thanks for your help in advance.
Also, I know it’s only 120 miles, but the lease is outside of the city limits and would be pushing the total range of the Rivian. Thanks for any help.

Plugshare is probably going to offer the most comprehensive set of options. And there are definitely some in the area. Take a look.

Yeah, Plugshare is my primary go-to for planning, first before anything else. Then I might look in the Rivian app or use the trip pre-planner in the app.

Also for road trips you should consider the slower chargers at destinations. For example, an hour lunch stop and picking up 50k from a basic EVGO low-mid-speed charger in a mall or such.

That’s what I neglected to do, I was fixed on fast charger, but found a level 2 charger at a hotel. Thanks for the reminder.

Make sure you talk to the hotel ahead of time. I've arrived at hotels to find the chargers not working sometimes.
