More people have burned to death in Cybertrucks than the Ford Pinto.
how is this true? it's not.

"Even if we excluded the fireworks death you are significantly more likely to burn to death in a CT than a pinto."

3 of the deaths happened in a single accident where teenagers were under the influence of alcohol, marijuana and cocaine. Why don't you mention that?

Because you have to correct the numbers for the units on the road, it would be idiotic to think that we could compare death numbers without correcting the disparity between a 40K unit vehicle and a 3MM unit vehicle. That's how statistics work.

you need to specify this, otherwise you are just deliberately stating it in a way which makes it sound even worse than it is.

Ford pinto deaths were unavoidable because you would die from getting rear ended.

Cybertruck deaths are 100% avoidable because the car is not spontaneously combusting and you can drive at normal and safe speeds

Combine that with the fact that modern tesla accident avoidance systems are next level

It also doesn't help that most modern vehicles are doing the same thing tesla is doing and using laminated side windows

Stats for other manufacturers are not cherry picked for the ridiculous criteria you are attempting to establish.

Also, the incident with the college students was made worse because the doors would not open. So you should probably steer very clear of that example, Bob.

Except for the fact that the numbers bear out, you're 17X more likely to burn to death in a CT. You can say whatever you want, it doesn't change the numbers and the facts that the CT is a death trap. Not to mention how hazardous it is to others because pieces of it randomly fly off while it's driving down the road. It's probably the shittest car ever made.

The doors wouldn't open from the outside. There is a manual release on the inside

When you are incapacitated of course you can't open a door from the inside

So, that makes it okay to burn to death? I'm sure the fact that there was a manual release buried behind a door panel was a comfort to the families who lost loved ones.

You somehow managed to dig lower than rock bottom with that defense.

Now you're just making stuff up again. 2 seconds of research could have prevented this.

Cybertruck door release is on the door in the front and in the back it's the same as every other tesla. In fact it is 100% identical to rivian.

Most EVs use electronic doors for the exterior and the only manual release is on the inside. Only difference for tesla is they choose to use frameless windows

The reason for the electronic door locks and the "fake" mechanical handles is because it allows you to control the locks better with software. The doors are 100% always locked and they only release when you pull on the handle through an electronic mechanism

That's how most EVs do it. Manual release on the inside and electronic opening on the exterior

laminated glass for side windows as it is quieter

Yet here we are discussing how these kids died because no one could help them. But according to you that is their fault. Also known as victim blaming.

Is it also their fault Tesla made a vehicle with fake bulletproof glass that essentially only makes it more difficult for first responders to help anyone stuck inside?

Also, please provide proof to support your "most EVs" lie.

Tesla glass is laminated. The "fake bulletproof glass" is the acoustic glass found on all cars in the mid-tier segment and above. It is an easy way to make the car quieter.

If someone was in a rivian in that same scenario you'd have exactly the same issue. Laminated glass and electronic door release.

I guess it is no surprise but the manual door release of the rivian and tesla look about the same

https://www.ebay.com/itm/186919371069

And the side glass for a rivian is laminated, just like tesla
The side glass of the Rivian is not manufactured to take a baseball at 70mph, which is the claim for the CT. You know that so stop lying.

And the Rivian doors are designed to unlock when a crash is detected. One could press the divot on the front of the exterior handle if it’s not presented and use it like a regular door handle.

Keep digging, Bob.

Rivian has exterior door handles that will work in case of an accident. That is part of the reason why you aren't 17X more likely to burn to death in a Rivian than a Pinto like you would in a CT.
