I use this for my Tesla and will use for the RIvian as well. Couple it with a USB-C 90-degree adapter, you can affix it to the front side of the center glove box with some velcro tape.

I like that. I wish they had a little cheaper version that was 256 or something and it is a little bit big. I can see just sticking it to the inside of the console with some 3m dual lock though.

It won't be so bad. I'll have parts for it tomorrow and will show what the final product looks like. Alternatively, you could get a right-angle USB-C and then just use a 256GB USB-C flash drive.

We picked up a bunch of these for some application at work. Might be perfect for just kind of placing a drive down at the bottom of the center console and keeping it out of the way. It's got a nice right angle head just to keep everything as minimal and tidy as possible.

I was all excited about this find here since it is so low profile, a little cheaper than the sandisk drives and it is shockproof and waterproof, but seems to have issues with write speed in the reviews:

I've been royally distracted at work today and I'm landing on a similar setup. MicroSD seems like the way to go.

Even the Raspberry Pi wifi dash cam storage that I see some Tesla owners use have the endurance SD cards in them. I agree and think the way to go is adapter with an endurance SD card or the endurance SSD drive. Either with a short USB cord so you can bend it down and attach to the inside of the console.

I'm using one of these drives and a cable with a 90 degree plug. I've got a couple of these, or maybe one generation prior that have been used with an Xbox for the past few years, no issues at all.
