Questions about Hotspot -- What band? Possible to force 2.4 ghZ?

Trying to set up a web enabled video camera in the Rivian and connect it to the Rivian hotspot. Camera only supports 2.4 ghZ wifi and the Rivian hotspot is not showing up as an option. Does anyone know what band Rivian's hotspot runs on and is there any way to force it to run on 2.4 ghZ?

Running into same problem with car fridge. Only works with 2.4 GHz not 5 GHz. Anyone know how to downgrade the hotspot to 2.4 GHz?

You can run a travel Wi-Fi router (basically a fancy Wi-Fi repeater) attached to the Rivian’s hotspot. I used to run one of these things all the time when hotels only let you use one device signed into its Wi-Fi. Hotel Wi-Fi has gotten a lot better so I rarely travel with one of these anymore. The last one I bought is $32 now with the “coupon”. Search Amazon for “Opal travel router”.

Did you ever find a solution to this?
I’d like to connect my Pecron portable battery but it’s also 2.4GHz only. I’m going to try asking Rivian for confirmation whether the hardware can support this or not.
When I travel, the truck is stuffed pretty full already so I’d rather not add more gak.

Just ran into this trying to get my kid's Yoto music player to connect. Surprising given kids devices in the back seat are often hand-me-down older tech.

I ended up buying a travel router for this. A different model from gl.inet. It comes in handy for a lot of things actually, and powered by USB-C.
