I love this concept. Here’s hoping the final production version is as amazing as it seems.

Alright y'all, stop freaking out, it's not Bose!

Kyle over at Rivian Stories dropped that it's Meridian Audio. This can easily be confirmed by details about the system:

  • Google "cabin correction audio" (Rivian specifically uses the term "cabin correction" on the website) - the only result is Meridian
  • Coaxial center channel
  • Height channels (the speakers above the doors), which are used for Meridian's Trifield 3D audio (Rivian also mentions 3D on the website)
  • The Land Rover power & speaker configuration options are VERY similar to the details provided on the Rivian systems

Ooooooooo. I had the upgraded Meridian audio in my Range Rover. That was a dope af system.

If the Rivian system is anywhere near that system, I’ll be a happy camper
Thanks for weighing in, I was curious to get feedback from people here that have owned or experienced them. Any more detailed thoughts than "dope af"? ;)

Yep, the Elevation 360 will be very similar, less 300 watts and a speaker or two.

Sure! I found the Meridian system to be strong, with a nice fullness and good control over the highs and lows. In the Range Rover at least you could choose between three...modes, I guess? Meridian, Dolby, and DTS. I almost always stuck with Meridian.

It wasn’t quite as crisp in the highs as the Bowers & Wilkins system in my XC60, but had a much more full low and middle range.

It wasn’t quite as “booming” in the low ends as the Bose system in my old FX50, but it definitely had less distortion at high volumes.

So like overall, I’d say it’s an excellent all-around sound system. Played everything just right.

Oh, and Meridian does BT speakers for LG...

BOOM, I'm 100% confident. Thanks again to Kyle @ Rivian Stories.
Thanks for posting. Kyle @ Rivian Stories pulled the post so glad you grabbed the scoop!

Y'all, this video just dropped & there's some additional specs as well. Check it out:

This went as I expected unfortunately. The video has been removed. While awesome to see, I was surprised someone on the manufactoring line would be that bold to take a video when they likely signed an NDA and would be easy to trace.

C'est la vie but it was cool

So if there is a powered docking place for the lantern, you could imagine there might be other after market accessories available that could use the same docking spot
That is the feature I was most interested in seeing. My wife seems to think I have a flashlight obsession, but I'm of the opinion that you can always use just 1 more flashlight.
