Range impact using bicycle hitch carrier?

Checking to see if anyone has real world experience with range loss when hauling around bikes. We'll be traveling from Pittsburgh to the OBX later this summer and I've started to plot my route.

I have a Swagman XT4 hitch based carrier. Any guidance about what I should expect W/mi would be super helpful.
