Radio Tuning To Random Stations

The FM radio has long been one of my biggest annoyances with my R1S. Typically after being on for 30-60 seconds, the radio will shut itself off and then either turn back on after a few seconds or I can manually turn it back on. In the last week, this behavior has changed and now instead of turning off, it is tuning to random radio stations. It's a different station every time, sometimes in my presets and other times not. I'm not sure if this is directly related to 2025.46.0, as I've been on it a couple weeks now and didn't notice the radio acting up until the past few days.

It was acting up for me today. It was on some random station, and I couldn’t change it. The screen kept saying loading. I meant to do a software reset, but didn’t. I’ll give that a shot tomorrow if the issue persists.

Pretty sure that’s what Rivian software engineers say given the number of bugs on something as basic as an FM radio after 5 years…

I haven’t had the issue you’re describing OP, but I’ve had lots of others. Refuses to change stations, shows one station as currently tuned but is actually playing another, or my personal favorite: refuses to turn off. Resets do nothing to fix it. I just have to hope the Rivian software gods are in my favor that day.

I've had all these issues randomly for years. Really annoying. Resets don't typically help. Rivian isn't good at delivering basic stuff sometimes. Forget the radio apps; I just want radio.
