Hmm r u sure the 12v is running off the 135kw battery and not the regular standard car battery… to power accessories.

Yes, I understand that accessories run off of the 12v battery. But the 12v battery is recharged by the Main battery pack. My experience is based on a Tesla as I dont have my Rivian yet…but assume all do the same (charge 12v from the main battery pack).

For what it's worth......

Someone mentioned in another post that the 12v stops being charged if the HV battery is below 60%. I've noticed my yellow battery light come on after leaving my truck below 50% for several days. I now make it a habit to not leave it sitting below 60% and have not seen my battery light come on since.

Interesting. This is likely contributing to the rash of 12V failures.

60% on the main pack would be an odd point to stop charging the 12v battery. I can see 20% or something…but 60 is silly if correct.

Anybody find a mirror mount for a V1 radar detector that works?

I used this one but it restricts movement of the mirror, so I am not able to turn the mirror far enough left and down far enough. The mount also is angled a little when you tighten it down.

The nice part is that it only requires one power source for both Radar Detector and DashCam.

The kit comes with three sets of pins and I was able to make the smallest pins work.

That looks like a great setup...nice work! Only issue I've had is that the Escort suction mount/sticky mounts always tend to fall off the windshield of my Gladiator (and every other vehicle I've tried it on). Instead, I found the following on eBay - uses 3M tape and sticks directly to the windshield and it's pretty cheap - ~$10. I'm using it with my Escort Max360 (the original version, not the fancy newer one).

Here's a couple of screenshots from eBay - not great but you get the idea. Anyway, I really like your setup with the incorporated dashcam....may be time to upgrade. Maybe this mount idea might help someone as well...good luck and thanks for sharing!
