I was joking the other day that they should have an "I don't care" option for each config, color, wheels, interior, etc.
Kind of like when asked at a restaurant: “Would you like to sit indoors or outdoors?”. My reply: “A 2hr wait you say for indoors? Outdoors it is! I don’t mind that it’s January in North Dakota!”

Yeah…I bet it’s something like that!

So if the target is 6-10 weeks from first contact that would lead me to think if someone (ok it’s me 😁) had a June/July window they (I) would expect guide contact sometime in the first 2 weeks of May. 🤞🏻
Same window here…keep needlessly checking my account and hoping I’d see a first drive or something but disappointed every day to see the same thing…hope you’re right and it’s not late June we get that guide contact coming s00n email…

Same window for me as well, in Denver really close to the service center. I am also hoping for guide contact in early to mid may.

April/May window here. Got our guide assigned Monday (11th), had our call on Wednesday (13th) and buyers agreement Friday (15th). No final delivery eta but sounded like May to early June was likely.
You got your PBA for an R1S?

I talked to my guide on 4/12, and he told me my reservation is now converted into an order. I will get a PBA once they start building my car. My config is still not locked, and I can still make changes. Did your config got locked after your call with your guide?

I locked my configuration after talking to my guide. The way I understood, your locked configuration advances you to the VIN matching step. VIN matching has a number of factors, which include preorder date, location and configuration. I was told that once your VIN is assigned (could be pre-production or from inventory), you will get an email to begin the 8 step process, which includes signing PBA. Of note, when I asked my guide if any of his other customers had a gotten an R1S VIN assigned he said no. He did say that he walks the production floor every morning and that he has seen R1S models moving down the line. He also told me that he has seen an Ocean Coast interior on the line (on an R1T) recently.

My guild said my configuration is locked but I can go to the site and still make changes. Can you still make changes to your configuration through the website?

That’s a negative from me. If you’re locked the configuration page says something about contacting your guide re: changes. My page locked while I was still on the phone with my guide…

I did not lock on the phone (wanted one final verify before I did on wheel selection), but emailed guide on 4/14 and he confirmed it locked later that day. We're RB exterior, OC interior, 20" AT wheels and the skid/tow hook package.

Also, I was told most of the non-build options (mats, roof rack, etc) all get shipped to you, they aren't installed at the factory. So they shouldn't hold up anything on your build.

How Exciting! My configuration for R1S is locked in, and I'm just waiting for a PBA. Did it come in email, or did you get a text about it from your guide?
