My R1S with 10K miles and 22" tires need rotation/balance My local Americas(Discount) Tire Cannot check alignment. Don't have Rivian equipment(verified by Riv service) I like to have alignment checked proactively but will wait for new tires. Scheduling with Rivian was going to be cumbersome. Is this others experience with Am/Discount Tire?

I have not taken my Rivian to Discount yet, but I have used them a bunch in the past and always received great service. Each location should have the jack pucks to do the job so unless your local Discount is below average I would say you can trust them. Just my opinion....

Be out there when they try to jack up your vehicle. This is my second time and two different DT where the crew was improperly placing the pucks to lift it up. I had to go out there and tell them to remove the cover for each location. So much so for Rivian training them.

Jack pucks, putting the truck in the proper mode, and having the specs for the alignment. It's all nuts and bolts for the most part. Rivian SC has told me that "independent shops are not perfect since non-SC shops can't zero it out to absolute zero because of a floating position they put it in the SC." Two things of note on that statement, 1 - sounds like complete BS; 2 - I've had 3 alignments in 2 years from the bellevue SC and they're all garbage. Had one done from an independent and is spot on. SC is very willing to help and usually accommodating, but they simply don't have enough experience behind them yet. Getting there.

^^^ This right here. For those that think only service centers can perform alignment correctly on their Rivians are BS. Dallas center tried 2x on my r1s and problem is still persist with drifiting to the right slightly. They told it is within spec and also blaming it on that most roads are built with right slant bias . SMH
