I think this issue is simpler than this whole discussion has evolved into. Rivian offers Xpel wraps as part of their service, I've seen it advertised in official Rivian channels. Since it was bought through a Rivian affiliate, and the defect was Rivian's fault, I believe you should be getting the wrap done as part of the repair.
I understand Rivian's point of view with not wanting to incur extra warranty costs, but if they made a vehicle that wasn't broken you wouldn't have this problem. To me that means the repair is on them.
