I've used the brake and accelerator hold release the brake a few times and almost made the family sick in the process. My lowly 6-700 hp without launch mode is brain rattling on launch already, will launch mode give everyone in the vehicle a concussion?

-- the most handy thing about a watch app for me would be a remote button to open the frunk whilst I am carrying groceries back to the truck, or better yet, siri integration to accomplish same thing via voice; I wonder if that will be an included function.

Few weeks to a month. Don't worry about it. It happens when it does. If you want a little more visibility of roll out progress, link your account to rivianroamer. Once linked, you will get an automated email from it to let you know your vehicle has been flagged for update (has been pushed to you and available for download). Without linking, there are no notifications. And if your vehicle is not already connected to WiFi, download will not occur. And, you would not receive any notifications until it's already downloaded and ready to install. And if your download has paused/failed, you will be able to look and find clues on why; instead of being completely clueless.

Personally, I walk out to the garage to plug my truck in and sometimes forget to bring my phone. The watch app will be nice for that as using the Siri shortcut via my watch has been unreliable and slow.I thought this was a response to how get software updates faster.... Now it's head-cannon.
And lowest in sport with 80+% battery. It's even better if there's some water on the road.
