Wanted to add another spin to this thread:
If I have a trip where I know I'll need to use 80% of my battery's capacity, is it better to charge to 100% and drain to 20%, or charge to 80% and drain to 0%?

Note: I would probably do 90% to 10% but I mainly want to know if it's better to use the upper portion or lower portion of your battery when needed.

If you need 100 to avoid draining to 0, do that.

We plug in every night and cap it at 80. Daily driving rarely drops below 30 so it's almost always in the 30-80 range. We charge to 95 or 100 before just about any road trip to minimize need for DC fast charging.
