No worries. Next time. We will have three trucks out this time, but for the next meet up we should have a bit more as more deliveries are being made. Have fun with your truck this weekend!

Really excited for tomorrow! I'm expecting my truck in the next few weeks (according to a friend who works at Rivian), and thinking about organizing a Rivian meetup at Hidden Falls Adventure Park (offroad obstacles and trails) in Marble Falls for the first weekend in May. Any interest?

I might stop by if it's close. Time and location?

My coworker actually knows someone with a Launch green on the 22 in wheels and let me check it out last week. Its an earlier vin build (sub 1000 if i recall) and there were some issues with the panels not lining up that well. It wasn't that noticeable if you arent looking for it but for the amount of money I was expecting a little better. Hope they get this resolved b/c I'm interested in putting a deposit down, but since i would be a post 3/1 order, i better get a perfectly built truck for 100k+. Overall it's still a really cool truck though.

This is a repeat for those in the group message.

Tomorrow’s meet up is at Memorial City mall starting at 9am. I circled in Rivian blue the area that we will be in. It is the back parking lot directly facing Target. I will be there early in a silver Toyota Highlander. There will be three trucks and at least one owner will be there till 12pm, in case some can’t make it out till later.

Hi all, I don’t have a reservation but I’m really on the fence about this truck. If it’s not a problem I’d love to attend to get a first hand look at an R1T. Thanks!

Dad and I loved it!!!! Thanks everyone for bringing y’all’s R1T out and letting us experience just how great these trucks truly are!! While I did not get to speak to the owners of the Blue and Green R1T, we did speak with the owner of the EL Cap colored one and he really took his time to answer our questions and demonstrate the trucks features. Both of us are sold! Thanks again!!

This was super helpful, really appreciate y'all for bringing out your trucks, and I can't wait to get mine!

A few things I noticed that may be helpful to others...
  • A couple folks mentioned that the height change works with the doors open but not with the gear tunnel open, which seems odd
  • Speaking of the gear tunnel doors, they seem to be the only place on the truck with PPF from the factory, which seems super odd. Maybe they're worried about people opening them onto a rock?
  • Seeing it in person, you realize how big of a flat, painted surface is on the very front of the truck. I think you've got to PPF this if you drive anywhere with dirt/gravel roads or where they use sand in the winter, or it'll get eaten up.
  • The front seats were amazing. I'm 6'6 and not exactly svelte, so seats are hit or miss for me, and these were really good, on par with my Cayenne's sport seats. Shoulder room felt good, hip room felt good. Support felt good. Hopefully this comfort holds up after a long session behind the wheel, but it seems very promising... I do wonder how much sliding around I'll do if I ever drive too fast around some twisties (not that I would ever...)
  • Back seat legroom was less than I expected, but totally acceptable. Considerably smaller than a full-size crew cab truck (F150, Silverado, RAM, etc), it was a tight squeeze for me to fit behind myself, but for taking kids around, seems totally workable.
  • Panel gaps weren't perfect. That doesn't bother me, but I know it bothers some people...
All told, very very cool. I can't wait. Come on guide contact!!!
