Offline ECUs Issue - Any Experience?

After the 2024.35 OTA, I woke up to having 6 ECUs offline. The result is my instrument display on the center screen is showing a red exclamation on the battery, weird temperature, compass, and elevation numbers. GPS is also out on maps.

The GPS is very odd because Highway Assist still works (which requires GPS) and the phone app can still tell where my truck is.

Anyone have experience with offline ECUs and how the problem was fixed? I have a SC appointment, and it’s a 12hr driving ordeal. I’m betting money this is a software problem and I hate to drive 12hrs (2 round trips) just to get ECUs re-flashed.

I've seen some of the modules in the RIDE menu show red even under normal operating conditions

I’m not having the ECU issues, but the GPS is offline. The app can still locate my R1T. But the R1T apparently doesn’t know where it is.

And did this happen to you after 2024.35? And you’ve found that multiple resets don’t fix?

I’m not having the ECU issues, but the GPS is offline. The app can still locate my R1T. But the R1T apparently doesn’t know where it is.

I had all those items in red on my R1T and Service said they were not a problem. I did have multiple issues going on, but they ended up doing a low-voltage battery reset and that did fix the problems

That seems like issues that should be resolved by a mobile service appointment rather than have you do all that driving.

I hadn’t done a reset. Thanks for the suggestion. The reset appears to have solved the how issue.

FWIW, I called today and talked to a Service Rep regarding my upcoming appointment on Monday. I said I didn’t want to do a long round trip for something I was pretty sure was a software problem. The Rep said it was a software problem. When I asked if it was written in my ticket, they said “I field a lot of calls and this has come up multiple times”.

My appointment was cancelled, which tells me they were pretty confident. We’ll see what “rare occurrence” shows up in the 2024.39 release notes.
