More images. The image of the charge is from VIN 21. The white truck in one of the pictures. Two employees at the event were talking and they both got cars(12 & 21). The employee pulled it up and let people get in it and play with it like a demo.

The charge picture is presumably based on real world condition. With 20” ATs, he’s getting like 260 mi.

Thanks for sharing, it also looks like 260 miles in all purpose with ATs. Conserve should be a marked improvement above that, super encouraging.

So, I tried again and I have a couple inches of clearance. Should be ok as long as the driver doesn’t like to drive like they are in a Lazboy.

I’m 6’2” as well. If you were driving, would another 6’2” person have been able to sit behind you?

Did test drive earlier this morning.

Reminded me of my Land Rover LR4. Course is a simple dirt road. Not off-road course unless you’re used to a Starbucks parking lot as your playground.

0-60 felt slow in comparison to our Model 3 Performance (very heavy feeling, more power but a lot more weight and probably squishy AT tires). Did not feel slow by any means, not what I’m suggesting.

Quality is nice. Again reminds me of mid range Land Rover products. “Leather” quality is rugged rather than smooth, felt durable and somewhat reminded me of our (now gone) Jeep JL Rubicon leather feel. Soft touch material are not as soft as Tesla’s.

Intrigued about range for an adventure vehicle. Started tiny course at 198 miles and ended at 192 all that while driving pretty slow (never over pace recommended by coach).

Still loving the design and concept but the course/drive didn’t make for a great selling point.

Good vibe overall, nice people, sweet setup.

One of the videos from this event seemed to reflect a 0-60 of a little over 5 seconds which would align well with your feedback.

Yea, I got in the driver seat and set it to where I like it. I would say compared to the images I’ve. Seen of RJ where his needs are pretty close to the dash, I like to extend my legs more. This is how I would feel sitting behind myself.

It’s worth noting that the 0-60 area is uphill and on a snaking road. It is neither flat nor straight. I took it up to 82 and never once felt like stability decreased on the winding areas.

Not really snaky but 2 very light curves going uphill. I’d say it’s fast if you come from an ICE vehicle.

Was the battery fully charged? I have heard acceleration suffers when you are low on juice.

Best part was initiating launch control. My guide told me to stomp down on the break pedal. Then stomp on the gas pedal. He did a countdown and then I released the break…it was blisteringly fast for going up hill, on AT tires, while worrying about turns.

The only picture I got that I hadn’t seen before is of the spare tire in the bed (which doubles as an insulated cooler when the tire is not there). Also had trouble finding my Red Model Y in the parking lot because there were two others right next to it.
I did learn some interesting tidbits. The South San Francisco center is opened and delivered 25 vehicles, all in one week (yes, all were employees). The Washington DC center will open around March.
There were no 21” wheels on any of the displayed vehicles.
About the culture. All the employees there, seemed to really like each other and the ones from different areas knew each other or common friends from “base camp.” Apparently where they were trained on all things Rivian. Employees from yet to open centers seem to be spending their time at first mile events until their centers open.

Rivian needs to stop telling customers it’s a 0-60 in 3.0 sec. There’s a lot of professional journalists that said the R1T feels no where close to the Hummer WTF at 3.0 and several videos look to more like 4.5 sec with 20” AT. Still very fast, but why false advertise?

Anyone bring a tape measure and able to get dimensions of the lower part of the frunk, below the removable floor?
