So my guess is that we don't have it because the lawyers got involved and technically using that on pavement will cause all sorts of issues. So to keep the warranty claims to a minimum it might be a "pay extra" features that you have to agree to all sorts of check boxes.

That’s a feature I’ll gladly not pay for. Just a silly circus trick in my books.

Not going to lie. When I saw Rivians video when they announced it, I thought it was super cool. Watching the EQG do it it looks super cheesy.

Speaking with my neighbor (Works at Rivian), he does not think we will ever see tank turn make it to the public for a couple reasons. When they tested on pavement, it destroys the tires in short order. When tested offroad, it destroys the ground beneath it. That means, it destroys grass, dirt, gravel, trails, parks, national parks, etc. As an adventure company, Rivian probably wants less of an impact on damaging the activities they promote.

Maybe Mercedes will bait and switch like Rivian to garner media attention. It certainly worked for Rivian! I personally think it would be cool to do on snow, but by no means a deal breaker.
