Originally all was well with my Nav system. A couple of updates ago, the system decided to no longer use the main highway where I live and drive every day, to wit, US-70 between Havelock and New Bern, NC. If I search a route from home to work, or vice-versa, the system sends me all over eastern NC to avoid this road. It comes up with a 2+ hour route for a drive that is direct, simple, and should take 45 minutes. There are no tolls, ferries, or any other reason to avoid using US-70. Any ideas on who to report this to to get it fixed?

Andrew, are you the Blue R1T I saw on the 10th on Ange Road in the morning and Biddle Road in the afternoon (near Maple Cypress bridge)? I was the LA Silver…

Sorry for the delay, but I'm actually the Black one! I did see the Blue one in James City a couple of weeks ago - waved, but I don't think he saw me. No, not many of us in ENC! Mostly, I'm burning up and down US 70 between New Bern and Morehead, and Temples Point Road. Do you have that issue with 70 on your Nav? Mine used to be fine, but now it won't send me on 70 for love nor money...

No worries on the delay! I’ve not driven on 70 with my Rivian so I can’t speak to the Nav issue. I live in Emerald Isle, and the family farm is in Pitt County, so OM usually going “over the river and thru the woods” to see folks there. Otherwise, I’m headed up 58/258 to I95 to head to NOVA to see the grandkids…

Sounds good - I'd be very curious if at your convenience, you just asked yours for a route to New Bern - see if it sends you all over ENC!?

Andrew, it takes me the way I’d go, except for the last bit where it goes on US70/17, I’d take the hypotenuse and go on Business 17. From where I am, I’d only go on 70 between MHC and New Bern if I was going to Havelock.

Interesting that last piece you mentioned. Also, starting from where I happen to be now, it takes me right up 70? Home is a bit east off of 101.

Could someone have accidentally turned on avoid highways?

No. See my OP. None of the ‘avoids’ have been turned on at any point.
