Odd Key Malfunction- Has this happened to anyone else?

I just took delivery of my R1T last Saturday and am really enjoying it.

I am having two issues with the keys that are really odd to me. Has this happened to anyone else?

Issue #1: We cannot add my wife's phone as a key no matter what we try. The process always hangs on "Set up your phone key....Waiting for phone". We've tried all the usual steps like hard resets (phone and vehicle), deactivate and reactivate the key, turn Bluetooth permissions on and off, etc. My phone was set up at delivery with no issue.

Issue #2: The key cards stopped working the moment we got it home. I confirmed one of them worked at the delivery appointment, but neither one has worked since. I tried deactivating and reactivating one key.

I submitted a service ticket on Monday morning and still haven't heard from Rivian.

We have had issues with our key cards. They stopped working for a while. Could not lock or unlock with keycard, but could start the truck. Contacted service. They tried resetting them. Did hard resets. No luck. Had a service appt set up two weeks out. All of a sudden, they started working again. Worked for about a month or two. Then stopped again. Finally brought it in and now they have to replace the door handle. It's on order. Next service appt they're replacing it.

What phone screen are you on when you do the pairing? You need to be in the Rivian app. When pairing my wife's phone and having similar issues, I went to Bluetooth in the control panel to turn off, reset, etc. Having paired many devices in the past, I waited for it to show up in Bluetooth pairing. It did not show up, but as soon as I reactivate the Rivian app, it paired almost immediately.

That makes sense as a fault-point. It easily explains the key cards, and I imagine a fault there could cause issues with the PAAK setup.

It also just clicked with me that the proximity unlocking seems to work fine from the passenger side, but not the driver side. I had just thought the proximity sensing kinda sucks, but bad sensors in the drivers side door would explain that as well.

We kicked off the process in the app, and got multiple steps into it. In fact, her phone shows up as a key in the Rivian app. It just fails on the last step of the process. We have removed and tried to add this key from the Rivian app several times.

Her phone pairs with the Bluetooth audio part of the car with no problem.

BigSkies did you ever get this resolved without a service appointment? I am having the exact same issues with my R1T.

BigSkies did you ever get this resolved without a service appointment? I am having the exact same issues with my R1T.
It was fixed with a service visit. There was a bad component somewhere in the circuit.
