I needed to explain this to my wife and she still kept saying "but if you have the cash why borrow" (treasuries are 4.85% state tax free)If I can get a higher return on my cash (e.g some banks offering 4.5%) and I can finance at 3.79% I take a credit any time. I’ll make more $$$ on compounding interest over five years than the interest I pay for the car loan. So why pay cash???
Plus you'll have the cash stashed away for a rainy day, just in case.I needed to explain this to my wife and she still kept saying "but if you have the cash why borrow" (treasuries are 4.85% state tax free)
Good to know! I got approved at 3.49% at Tower FCU but they are currently taking anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks to onboard new members.I was offered 4.25% from ufcu.org University Federal Credit Union I was dealing with Omari Montique he told me he did a few Rivians and he knew alot of the process
Yikes - why so long, what’s required?!Good to know! I got approved at 3.49% at Tower FCU but they are currently taking anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks to onboard new members.
Please do provide an update on Parsons - saw they currently have 3.79% rate for EV’s and am trying to device whether to go ahead and join and apply with them, thanks!I tested out Parsons FCU and Tower CU yesterday - will let you know what I find out!
My loan advisor said that they have a backlog on getting new accounts approved and have no wait to jump to the front of the line regardless if a loan is needed ASAP. If you plan on going through Tower FCU in the future, it probably would be a bad idea to get a savings account then when you're ready to apply for the loan, you're already a member and it should be much more seamless.Yikes - why so long, what’s required?!
I’m in the same boat, “in transit to service center” and I also applied and got the preliminary pre-approval letter but nothing that gives me specifics, rate, etcMy loan advisor said that they have a backlog on getting new accounts approved and have no wait to jump to the front of the line regardless if a loan is needed ASAP. My guide told me my truck is on the way to the Austin service center since 1/12, so I'm hoping they don't take much longer at this point.
Do they take customers from around the country?Good to know! I got approved at 3.49% at Tower FCU but they are currently taking anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks to onboard new members.

I just applied with towerGood to know! I got approved at 3.49% at Tower FCU but they are currently taking anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks to onboard new members.
Make sure you also sign up for a savings account separately, since you’ll need to be a member to even get the loan after you are approved.I just applied with tower
I used Parsons for my wife's 4xe and they have been good to work with, decent web portal. They are smallish so some multiple followups to get loan approved but worth it.Please do provide an update on Parsons - saw they currently have 3.79% rate for EV’s and am trying to device whether to go ahead and join and apply with them, thanks!
