If it can tell when Autonomy is activated, all I need it to do is switch the center console from whatever screen it's on to the Map/nav view. That's a single tap, hopefully it can do that?

Not possible with this device. It can only input what your finger can. If you can't change the setting, neither can it, and the Autonomy View is mandatory with UHF or HA.

Can you do that? If no, then neither can it. Also, it doesn't 'see' the status of the vehicle, it only emulates finger presses on the screen.

Great stuff. I could see maybe a potential for a valet or teenager mode where it could notify you if/when the driver exceeded a certain speed limit. Or even blocking anything but Conserve Mode.

I mean, that's the thing. Yes, it's something I have to do manually every time I activate UHF. This would purely be a one-tap automation of something I manually do every drive.

I also assume it can sense when you enter UHF, as a trigger. No idea if that is the case, but if it can do the stuff Alex says above like automatically open the garage when you get home, or switch to Conserve when you are on the freeway, then I assume there is some set of state that it can detect.

The detection it has is from the phone app via phone sensors, i.e. GPS location and speed. It does not get input from the vehicle, as CAN signals are not present on the USB interface it uses. It would be interesting if you have an EV Play device, if Alex could surface CAN data via app to provide triggers.

I don't have a Gen 2, so I didn't know the Autonomy view could be overridden after UHF was engaged. If you say you can do that manually today, then I would bet the Auto-Mate could as well, but the issue would be finding a reliable trigger.

Boo, that's the part I was missing.

This looks great! I remember you asking questions about things to automate in other threads :) Glad to see this became a product!

So, in theory, for those with Dual/Dual Performance can turn off the "auto" ride height and swithc to Sport Mode evey time they start a drive, for example? That will be great for those users!

I would like a small nicely designed bar with several programmable buttons that I could adhere to the dash. Push a button for pet mode, etc.

Does this plug into either USB port in the center console? I believe the gear guard USB drive takes the left side one. Also, the Rivian brand center console tray sits pretty close to those ports--does this small box device conflict with the bottom tray?

Yes, either port. I am going to include a small USB-C extension wire and a double-sided sticky pad to avoid any conflicts and allow you to mount it where you want.

Another great product, Alex!
Can't wait to have it.

Would add a couple off-the-top-of-my-head ideas:
- allow me to combine folding mirrors with carwash mode
- connectivity to IFTT or other automation frameworks to make it easier to arm/disarm my home security when my Rivy leaves or comes home.
- provide the long-desired feature to turn off Bluetooth lock/unlock only while at home

All the best!

Please assure us that this is 100% compatible with the EVPLAY device.
Love those ideas, keep them coming! I'll be setting up a place on our Website where users can share & download their automations.

Is the USB just for power or does it change the vehicle settings over USB? My center console USB ports are occupied with my Gear Guard drive and a phone charging cable.
The latter - you could throw a cheap USB-C hub in there to allow multiple devices.

If you are not in final production yet it would be great if you could add a USB C charging port to the device so we don't need a USB hub to charge our phones. Also a usb C extension cable so the device isn't putting pressure on the USB C port.

A very small battery operated device would be nice. Maybe 1/2 by 3” or so with 4 buttons. Small enough it could be affixed somewhere like the bottom of the center screen or elsewhere. Silver might be good to match trim. Let me know when it’s ready. Anything under $200 is instant buy for me.
