The GOAT sliders don't cover the holes, so it won't affect anything.

I'm about to find this out next week. Note the Rivian manual says that jacking directly on the frame rails is approved. Rock sliders expose the frame rails as well as (in many cases) the puck holes. I'm assuming the real problem is that Rivian uses a lift that assumes their own specific jack pucks can be used. So banning rock sliders would be more about convenience for them to use their standard lift, more so than liability. Just guessing on that.

I have had the Portland service center change both my half shafts and rotate tires while I had my Megawatt sliders on. I know they cover the front puck spot. but there is plenty of meat there for a standard jack pad. They didn't mention them a word. I wonder what is causing the inconsistencies between service centers.

So I picked it up this morning, they didn't remove them, and my half shafts were changed. No idea. Happy with the result though!
I think they only should have to remove sliders to drop the battery.

The issue he raised was "picking up a 7000 pound vehicle with an unknown lifting point and having someone walk under than is a liability risk"

Which... sure, I understand, but one quick glance at these and it's just a chunk of steel so... you wouldn't worry about it.

I have the megawatts on my R1s and have been to 2 different service centers and neither removed the sliders:

-- Richmond, VA had my R1S for almost 2 months diagnosing the steering vibration issue (drove it over 500 miles), changed tires and shafts and lots of other stuff (they couldn't fix it but that's not the point). When i got there the service center had a tech come out to the parking lot to look at the sliders, i showed him where the lift points were and he said "no problem". He said they would need def need to remove running boards if they couldn't get to the lift points on the vehicle, but "quality" sliders were no problem and it was up to his discretion.

-- Chelsea, MA had my R1S for 3 hours for the hub bolt recall and the 12V replacement. Assuming they had to lift it for torquing the hub bolts, but I mentioned the sliders and they said they would let me know if they need to remove them. They didn't say anything and didn't charge me so i only assume they left them on.
