Although it will still be months away from when my R1S needs tire rotation, I look forward to getting it done in my nearby Discount Tire.
We look forward to it! If you need anything in the interim, don't hesitate to reach out.

Just had a great experience at my local DT (2727 Hillcroft St, Houston)
over weekend. New tires on the '16 F-type and later same day fixed/plugged a tire on the R1S that had grabbed a nail. Manager was familiar with Rivian and proactively mentioned having the jackpucks, but was totally unfazed when I said I had the dce sliders. Couldn't have been easier or felt better they knew their business. Very satisfied!
This is great to hear, thank for giving us the opportunity to serve! I'll be sure to share your kudos with the team over on Hillcroft St in Houston.

Thanks to the Livermore, CA location (America's Tire) for helping me get the right tire for my flat. Took a bit to figure out how to get the spare back in (I didn't even know how, but apparently the middle bolt comes out). They had the pucks and also knew how to put the jack covers back on.

Thank you for the shout out to America's Tire in Livermore, CA! I'll pass along your kudos as well. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you.

Hey @Discount Tire any chance you can ask the folks responsible for your website to add filtering by offset for wheels? I've just spent way too much time looking at wheels trying to find a set that are compatible with what I want to do.... should have been just a filter to apply same as diameter and width and material. For that matter, it might be nice if you actually carried some wheel options that fit Rivians.
That would be a great filter option and something I've brought up in the past! I know there are conversations taking place about this now. I'm not sure when or if offset filtering will roll out, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

If you need any assistance with finding the right wheel fit for your Rivian, please don't hesitate to shoot us a DM. We should be able to streamline your options if you already have an idea for what you you're after.

Hey @Discount Tire can you provide any news on the Toyo Open Country A/T III EV tires about to come out in a month or so? They appear to be one of the few (or only) A/T EV tires but there isn't a lot of info on tire size availability. Admittedly, I haven't contacted my local DT but they're usually busier than heck and I'm not thrilled about being on hold for 30-45 minutes.
At this time, you know as much as I do, unfortunately. I reached out to a Toyo rep a minute ago, and they are pretty tight lipped about sizes/availability at this time. Toyo's website is saying the following:

"COMING SOON: The first size will be available February 2024 with other fitments planned to be released later in the year."

Sorry for the non answer. I will keep my ear to the ground. When I get some more info, I will be sure to update you.

Unfortunately all 4 wheels incurred tons of scratches when they put on my new winter tires last month. I’ll take it up with my local shop.
We apologize for the damage to your wheels. We would like to look further into this to make sure you're taken care of.

Hope you don't mind us sending you a DM.

What options do you have or suggest for 20" tires other than the Pirelli A/T that came with my R1T? Are there EV-rated 20" that have more of an on-road tread vs. off-road?

There are not a lot of EV tires for the Rivian in the market place at this time, but as they gain popularity I'm confident more options will be on the horizon.

For Options that are less aggressive than an A/T style tread, I would recommend the Michelin Defender LTX Platinum, Michelin Agilis Cross Climate, Bridgestone Dueler HT 685, and the Continental Terrain Contact HT to name a few.

Hey Discount Tire, will there be any problem changing or rotating tires if I have the DCE sliders on an R1S with the modified rear jack point (as discussed above)?

Btw, the Rivian service manual does suggest jacking directly on the frame with "non-Rivian" jacks.

Shouldn't be an issue. If I understand DCE's stance on this, if the OE jack points are not accessible, the RCE frame placement under the vehicle can be used as a jack point as well.

Any experience to report with the Toyo Celsius Cargo? By my read look like like it would be an option for the 20" wheels. Wondering how it performs for efficiency vs. stock Scorpions. Any also wondering general satisfaction for buyers.

@Discount Tire

Quick question about rims - Tire Rack has several options with +48 offset for 20" rims.
I was not able to find any such option on DT website. Do you have any 20" rims with 48 offset to offer?
The +48 is a tough nut to crack. Tire Rack shows the MSW type 52 with a + 48 in stock, and a Radius W 135 but it's currently on back order.

Doing a bit of research on wheels for the Rivian, as long as we stay with a +35 or greater, it opens up quite a few options, provided we don't go larger in tire diameter.

Do all store have the pucks/experience at Rivian tire rotation?
I’m here in New Mexico and wondering about getting mine done. On AT 20’s and only 7k miles, but it’s been a year so…

Oh, and is there a tire you recommend for the R1T 20” AT that is a bit quieter than the standard tire :)

ive ridden in a 21” R1T and it’s quite a bit more chill ;)
