How do you feel about the RAN density for our area and Illinois, as a whole?

I'm not sure there is such a need in the city and suburbs. I'd probably like to see more along the routes out of / through our unadventurous state. I'm holding out hope that is is just the initial batch with more to come.

It's great news to see them planning so many locations. I just hope they get enough success to see it through and expand.

I am pleasantly surprised. Really comes down to how many stalls per location, but it does look like they have ample coverage for the entire chicagoland area.

I suspect the default is going to be four (like Salida), but some will have more.
600(+) x 4 = 2400(+) out of the 3500(+) they are promising.

I’d guess they would be equally split between 4 and 8 unit stations. 300 of each would yield 3600 total chargers. Pretty close.

It’s great they have a lot, but owning an EV for many years now I’ve found that we pretty much never use the chargers around the Chicago area, just charge at home. My main concern is on road trips in areas like Arkansas and states that are more rural.

we are finally escaping Chicago and Illinois and moving to the hill country of Texas so glad they also have some density there as well.

Didn't realize they'd actually announced a location for the showroom in Chicago. It's going to be in the Fulton Market District. Just west of downtown. Very good eats around there. Hope this new dealership lawsuit doesn't delay it too long.

I have talked to Rivian about viewing a vehicle and they keep saying that they will have an “event” in my area and let me know about it. Crickets. Does anyone know of a way to view and possibly drive an R1T in my area? Thanks.
