The gear guard videos are on the internal storage. I don’t think the external drive matters.Most of my videos just say "Video Error". I am using a Samsung external drive that I used without issue for 19 months on my Gen1 R1T. This Gen2 is buggy.
maybe the internal storage is having issues. 2025.14 update notes do say:
“
- If you are not able to view the videos stored in the vehicle’s internal storage, the center display now notifies you to contact Service.”
