Honestly, pictures don’t do this minivan justice. It’s much better looking that I thought it would be. My wife had originally hated the Buzz due to it not having round headlamps but when she saw it in person she kinda shrieked with excitement. It’s a damn good looking EV..

On the downside according to Engineering Explained, it’s got poor range, ID4 ergonomics, and it’s just slow. I’m hoping they’ll adopt the Rivian architecture during the mid cycle refresh and also give it at least 300 miles of range.

I saw the same colour combo at the VW dealership in Vancouver BC, in March. I totally agree, it's awesome in person. Had they made a 4x4 Westfalia version with a proper battery tho...

Ohhhh don’t get me started. I’d lose my damn mind if they’d done that..

I like rhe look and the concept, but was very disappointed when the range for each of the trims was announced.

Yeah it’s not bad. Downside is range and the UI it shares with the ID4. For the soccer moms who can charge at home, neither are deal breakers.

It does look better in person, not for me, but they will sell.

Rivian isn't sharing anything but technology and software according to RJ and the deal they made. No platform sharing at this point with anyone.

Hopefully they get the Taycan battery and charging system. A 105 kwh usable would seriously help and the new porsche charging curve is awesome. (One of the Tacans motors would not be bad either lol).

Sadly the range and VW charging speeds limit this to a local errand runner and effectively unusable as a road tripper, which is pretty disappointing considering it's a minivan.

It would be fine for grocery runs and soccer practice but for the price you'd expect it to be able to do a lot more than that.

I spotted one with Michigan manufacturer plates in a driveway in Cambridge, MA a couple weeks ago. There was an ID.4 parked out front, so I think it may have been an overnight test drive for a current VW EV owner. Haven’t seen it since.

It was dark and I didn’t want to prowl around their driveway, but from this and video reviews I’ve seen it looks quite good - would be great, however, with greater range and an improved user interface. I’m sure the 0-60 times are slow compared to leading EVs, but far far better than the Microbus of yore.

Perfect vehicle for some of us living in central America, in a tdi version and made in Mexico.

I have a Amarok tdi truck in Costa Rica

Fast enough for most consumers. Faster than a 1966 supercar.

Saw my first ID Buzz while charging in Columbia MO. This was parked at the nearby hotel. I really like the look!

My wife bought one. I have not driven it yet (patiently waiting through the bonding period) but it meets or exceeds my high expectations. It’s really nice and freakishly roomy inside. I was prepared for this, but still blown away.

She drives less than 50 miles a day and less than 6000 miles a year so the low range is not an issue. She can always drive her Wrangler if she needs to but the Buzz is way quieter and more comfortable.
