We have a fairly early pre-order date of November 29, 2018, for an R1T with the Explore Package. We have received an email from Rivian stating that we can expect our truck to be delivered in the first half of 2023. The email also states that we will be contacted by Rivian to see if we would like to upgrade to the Adventure Package in order to receive our truck earlier. We have not received this contact yet.

What we would like to know is how much earlier we might expect delivery by going to the Adventure package. We would like to hear from others here on these Forums that have an Adventure Package order date similar to ours, and find out what delivery time frame they have received..

Keep in mind that rivian may or may not update your estimate to what it would have been if you ordered Adventure/Large, originally. You might get an earlier delivery than your Explore estimate, but not as early as others who didnā€™t change their config and have been on Adventure/Large the whole time. We donā€™t know yet what theyā€™re doing.

For example, (theoretical) someone with a 23H1 estimate may end up switching to Adventure/Large and getting a 22Q4 date while other people in their area with similar pre-order date but always went Adventure/Large May have 22Q3 estimates. ā€œEarlierā€ doesnā€™t necessarily mean ā€œsameā€œ. But maybe it will. We donā€™t know yet.

Contact CS and ask. Worse thing that can happen is they don't give you an answer.

FWIW, I placed a deposit Aug 2019 for a Launch Edition R1T and my expected delivery date is Jun 2022.

Our son, Michael, also placed a Rivian pre-order on 11/29/18. He specified a Launch Edition R1S. He currently has an estimated delivery date of April/May, 2022.

I dont think we've seen any evidence of this and the data collected from the spreadsheets indicate it's more likely that preorder date still matters within folks who have the same config as you.

From what I can tell someone with as early a preorder date as OP has is looking at Q2/Q3 2022
