I have a ā€˜67 F100 I want to do an EV restoration of. Iā€™ve looked off and on at picking up a used Model S. Canā€™t do a salvaged one for several reasons. It just never made sense to go for it. This is exactly what Iā€™ve been waiting for. The F100 concept build at SEMA being used to promote this crate system is almost exactly what I want to build. Just waiting for all the detailsā€¦ As of right now the motors are $3900 each and they used two of them (front and rear) for their Eluminator concept build. I can buy the motors just fine, can even order them now. But still no info on the modular battery system or computer/ control interface that we would also need. Hopefully soon. Ford people at SEMA are telling everyone that these components will be available form Ford Performance ā€œsoonā€.

Thats pretty awesome. I have been thinking about doing that myself. I saw a sweet Porsche 912 that had an electric conversion and I have been dying to do it ever since.
