My Colorado Peeps,

Have any of y'all applied for this program? I did the other week and got denied because "WeaveGrid's EVPulse platform does not support your model". I noticed they lacked a Rivian selection field on the drop down while applying but figured it could be solved. Before I pursue calling a robot, anyone else had success?

Thanks team!

You need the ChargePoint Flex charger as that is the only eligible one listed. They also apparently only support Tesla, Lexus, and Toyota vehicles at this time.

As far as I know, if you do not meet that criteria, you cannot enroll. It is also only $50 per year and then they limit what hours your charger functions.

I stand corrected, I went through the form just for a trial. Rivian appears to be selectable. The ChargePoint charger is the only requirement. I will not be signing up though as if you accidently charge outside of your window, then you do not get the rebate, or perhaps worse, with the wi-fi connected to your charger they could possibly deactivate it outside your approved charging hours. All for just 50 bucks a year, no thanks.

We do this program with the Chargepoint Flex, there is no accidental charging outside the window because the charger is setup on the schedule. You qualify for the bill credit if you use the schedule 80% of the year, leaving about 70 days when you can override, which is straightforward to do by double-pumping: rapidly plug in, unplug, plug in.

We also have a Wallbox which the new WeaveGrid Charging Perks program is compatible with and comes with a $150/year bill credit. The downside is they can change when the charge happens from one day to the next. But for us that shouldn't be a big deal, I need to email them to switch us over.

I signed up for it with my Tesla. It was slightly confusing at first, but it made sense once I figured out that charging schedule was entirely out of my hands after I gave it a target charge and "finish charging by time".

I believe you have to have the Chargepoint charger to use Rivian today. Unless something has changed very recently.

Rivian wasn't available at the time I set it up, but I did see Rivian's recent press release saying they would work with Weavegrid in the future. It should just be a matter of time.
