I bought a black one from HomeDepot in January, made by TracOne. About $350 all in.

Same product sold by Thule for $1150, if you need want to pay lost more for a sticker.

I have used this rack for many lumber runs and carrying SUPs without any issues.

However, I did have a problem recently when hauling stuff from Denver to Austin. I had a big tarp covering everything and that caused a pretty significant lateral wind load on the forward rack. Bolts loosened after perhaps a thousand miles and the front rack shifted rearward an inch or so. I'm thinking of adding lock washers or just avoiding that wind load if I ever have to do that again. I could do as others and drill holes in the rack to accommodate a U bolt for fastening to the Rivian anchor points. Just not sure that is really necessary. Rack is still in good shape.

For those of you that use their R1T as a truck and are looking for a cheap rack, here is an option that fits. Not tremendous quality, not the simplest instructions, some tweaks needed to make it fit BUT it will do the job to carry long pieces of lumber and requires no permanent modifications to your truck. I wouldn't trust it with the rated 500-800 pounds but it is sturdy once installed. The key part is to install the C brackets upside down. You will not be able to use your retractable cover and/or use the channels for the cover however, the rack is easily removable once setup and easy to re-install.

Can't beat it for $200!
