Chat Now Broken on Android

Noticed this today while trying to get support on a wall charger issue...

  1. Chat function now removed from Rivian app on Android.
  2. Chat via Rivian web site broken on Android browsers (chrome and Brave) in either mobile or desktop modes (suppresses keyboard making it impossible to type)
Did I miss something?

As a side remark the AI support assistance is utterly useless.

I've been able to chat using the Android app, including today with the service center. I did notice the keyboard covers the input area, I worked around by making the app a floating window and resizing it so that the bottom is above the top of the keyboard.

I have the same problem with the android app keyboard covering the input area. Very frustrating trying to type out a multiple sentence message.

Did they move it somewhere else?

It's not showing up there for me either. But to be honest, I never knew it was there in the first place.

The android chat that has the obscured text entry field I was talking about is in the service request portion of the app. Since it's the only real way to get in contact with the folks actually working on my car, having the text entry field obscured is painful.

Navigate to your account > Tools and resources > FAQs > scroll down to Get in touch, select "Start a chat"

I've had the same issues, as I've been bugging them to get the 30D submitted and a copy of my Clean Vehicle Sellers Report (which they say they can see I signed, but won't send me a finalized copy). I had to type elsewhere and copy/paste it into the chat field. The keyboard would never open for me.

Whatever. It's still a chat on my phone. I'm genuinely curious as to why I should care if the chat is running in my Rivian app or the app is opening a chat through the web browser on my phone.
