Any activity in the Austin, TX area?

If any of the Austin-area R1 owners decide to do a meet up, I’d appreciate an invite just to see some of these colors and wheels in person. I’ve got a launch green with forrest edge and 20” ATs but I’ve been debating a few other options (like Riv blue, 20” blacked out). Keep hoping to hear from a guide; my R1S delivery window is Oct-Dec.

Welp, canceled my First Drive scheduled for next Saturday in Houston because I'll be taking delivery... on Friday. Lol.

Pick up is at the Austin SC so it's def open - or at least will be.

Do they let you just walk in? I have a first mile scheduled next week in Houston, but I have never really seen one in person. It would be nice to check them out.

I didn’t walk in. I parked and they came out to say hi. But they let me walk around back lot to look at the vehicles. They were getting ready for delivery so wasn’t able to get inside the vehicles however.

Yes there was at least two. One was el cap color. I was in hurry so didn’t get to take photos sorry. But between all the vehicles I saw almost every wheel example dark and bright and all colors except yellow and red that I can remember.

The service center is open, on North Lamar, right before you hit 183. Hidden behind a little shopping center.

2 R1Ss, 10 or so R1Ts, varying colors. They were super nice and inviting there.

They let me walk into the waiting area, and over to the "fenced cage" of cars.

They asked for no pictures and to be courteous that they were other people's cars so no touching and no getting in. But I took some time to look around, see the colors from different angles. They really do change a lot in different lighting.

I saw 3 wheel types. 20 standard ATs, 20 Dark ATs, 22" brights.

Picked mine up today. There was an R1S saem color with the ATs there. Looked fantastic. I think my guide told me it belonged to one of the Rivian Stories guys.

Thanks all for heads up on the service center; stopped by with my son on Friday and it was great to see some colors in person. (And specific thanks to Skyler for letting us have a look at his R1S!) Finally, of course, a huge thanks to the Rivian team for being so gracious and letting us take a look. We had a blast!
