BMW E Ink - Wouldn’t It Be Nice To Not Have To Pick One Paint Color

BMW debuted E ink technology at CES 2022, which allows you to change the paint color of the car. I currently have my R1S configured with silver, but I still go back and forth between silver, El Cap, forest green, and launch green. Wouldn't it be nice if we didn’t have to choose one color and be able to switch colors depending on our mood or the weather?

Theoretically they could use the same approach to apply printable/flexible OLED tech or even RGB color E-Ink material to the car. The OLED and RGB E-Ink are like 3X thicker though, but then with the RGB nearly any base color could be reproduced instead of just black/white or shades in between. With the OLED it would glow and if combined and mapped with cameras, could be like visual camouflage or could display graphics, videos, etc...

IMO, this is fun gimmick and others have done similar with LEDs... But hugely expensive and nowhere near practical [yet] for a production car.

I do not think any colour will make that side profile, especially towards, the rear look good.
