I apologize if this has been addressed, but I can't find it specifically.
Can I connect my iphone to the Meridian system through an auxiliary cable?
The reason is that bluetooth sucks and skips, stutters, static, pops etc and sound is terrible. This has always been my experience in all vehicles I've driven (20+, both with multiple iPhone and Android systems).
My subaru has a usb outlet in the armrest center console that directly connects to the "head unit". The sound is much better and does not stutter. I realize I won't get Carplay, but I would like to play directly from my phone.
What I would like to know is if the console usb outlet is connected to the car other than just for charging? If so, perhaps there is hope for future support.
I didn't realize when ordering, what a pain point this is. In today's day and age, with the complexity and cost of this vehicle, I can't believe we have to rely on bluetooth to listen to music libraries.
