Autonomy + question for the R2

I understand that upcharge for Autonomy + is 2.5K. So the question is Rivian going to call full self driving Autonomy ++ and do another upcharge when it comes out. On the Rivian site it only says that more features are coming but that is all. It doesn't say anything about full self driving

Nobody knows re: price changes/charges.

Except for charging more for features they've already committed to (such as point to point UHF), they can do whatever they want in the future. And even then they could charge more for promised features, at the risk of customer backlash.

I suspect the cost of Autonomy+ will go up as more capability (and therefore value) is added. That's part of the appeal of a one-time unlock. But also, they don't have to add new capabilities to the existing package, so it's not guaranteed.

As always, don't buy products (especially computers/electronics) based on future software hopes. Buy based on whether the current features meet your needs and match your value expectations. Any future improvements are then just icing on the cake.
