Anyone know what the differences are between Launch Edition and Adventure? Wondering what I will be missing if I opt for an R1S Adventure from the shop, vs keep waiting for my Launch to become available someday...........

How about resale too? Any difference noticed thus far?

Thanks much

The differences is are some of the options are free for launch and cost for adventure but everything that's available on the launch edition is available on adventure except the launch green paint color. It also has no effect on resale for that reason unless maybe the launch green color.

In addition to the free wheel upgrades, Launch gets a wristband key. Adventure does not come with a wristband and Rivian does not currently sell them separately.

Wristbands can sometimes be found from private sellers and paired with a new account. That’s what I did and it works (although the delay to unlock is painful).

The only other thing I can think of that’s different is that the interior badge on the dashboard says “Launch Edition”, whereas the Adventure pkgs do not have that. Minor, but it’s something.

EDIT: To my surprise, the yellow highlights on all exterior badging comes with both the Afventure and Launch Editions.

Apparently, Rivian is currently testing Apple Watch as a key, which, for those that have an Apple Watch would make the wristband pointless.

As I sometimes don't have my iPhone but always have my Apple Watch, this would be a terrific upgrade.

In addition to the wristband and colours, the badge, by the front passenger airbag, is worded differently. Just personal preferences.

Thanks.

Yeah I was wondering most about the Bracelet, First Aid kit, and Badging..

Most concerning is value/resale. I have not been keeping up on that so not sure if there is a notable difference.

Current resale $ of Adventure vs Launch are not different for 2022 models if you look at sales. To be seen if it will matter in a few years. I would imagine only if you get the limited Launch Green color, which right now doesnt seem all that limited since they are still producing them lol.

I will preface this comment that I have a relatively early build Adventure. That being said, I think a better filter is not the trim but the build date. I think the early builds, regardless of trim, may be more desirable in the long run (note I did not say valuable). The reason I say this is that Rivian tends to want to remove features as time goes on. I like that I have wood trim in the back seats, front trunk 12v port (which I use frequently), powered tonneau (that still works and will most likely be upgraded), meridian sound system.... I also think in the long run, the quad-motors will stand out, especially if dual motors become more prevalent. It is just such a capable vehicle with no other quad motor truck available (I do not count Lordstown as a legitimate contender) I am continually impressed with the fit and finish of my build and do not think that I suffered any loss in quality with my build date.
