Rivian R1S and R1T Sunshades by @VION - installation and review

Quick take:

• Super-easy to install, takes just a couple minutes
• High quality product - frames, material, clips all sturdy and comes with a nice carrying bag
• Reflective coating on top blocks most light/heat from entering the roof
• Does a much better job than the Dynamic Roof alone at blocking light and heat
• This is better than Tesla's OEM mesh screens
• I was provided a review set, but would buy, esp. if I had young kids in the back seats

Minor quips: would like a third-row roof screen, right now it's only the first and second row; would prefer a light grey that color matches the Ocean Coast interior to keep everything feeling light and bright

They way to test these is to roll down the windows and drive on the freeway. If it doesn't fall down, you've got something.

I don't do much highway driving but based on experiences with two mesh shades and one similar reflective shade in other vehicles I can say the length of the clips inserting into the trim gap is similar and the fitment of the wire frame here is similar or better than in the others (two OEM, one aftermarket).

I did have one shade drop down on one corner in my prior Model S, but I also had too many extra clips after installation so once I remedied that by adding two clips that was that and it never drooped again. This shade does ship with extra clips BTW.

If you're driving at excessive speeds on the highways with alternate windows full down then YMMV (and you're nuts).
