Rivian Patent Filing - R1S / R2S Camp Kitchen

As we know, patents do not mean a the feature will become reality (just like the R1T Camp Kitchen, lol). With that said.....

Patent 12365281 is for a "Modular kitchen mounting apparatus" and specifically mentions SUVs with some illustrations that are clearly SUVs. PDF attached.

Patent was originally filed in 2023 this seems to be an update to something.

Wonder how this will attach in the rear cargo area of the newer R1S variants without the "Utilitrac" C channel. Those have been replaced for 4 localized tie down points.

That's cool but having all the cooking smells stick to the Alcantara doesn't seem like something I'd like. When I and my family go out on a picnic, I have a pizza oven that I carry but plug with an extension cord way outside the R1S so I don't get any smells on the interior.

I was unaware that there is an R1S varient that does not have the t-track. Have you seen one in person?

its an actual camp kitchen that pulls aparts in less than 2 min, fits well and still uses the spare tire!
