I noticed that as well.Interesting in that they seem to offer window film for the roof. I thought that was not recommended by Rivian. I know there are conflicting opinions on the topic, but surprised Rivian would support that option.
Their window film overall is pretty good. Scratch resistance and clarity are good. I've had their window tint on 6 cars so far and just had it put on my Rivian (including the windshield but not on the roof). How is the XPEL window film vs other ceramic options?
It's the same, no better or worse. The pricing is about standard also. They don't have a windshield option, but I found that this is one of the most valuable places to put a film. Not dark, but UV/IR blocking. Huge improvement in heat. That alone cost me $400 though, with a top-end nano film. How is the XPEL window film vs other ceramic options?
I agree and the cost of replacing the windshield would make that useful. It's the same, no better or worse. The pricing is about standard also. I believe you're thinking about the protective outside films? I had that for a couple months, it was absolutely awful. I was talking about standard inside film, like a tint, but nearly clear. It has a barely perceptible tint, 97% transmission, while I have 20% on the sides. 35% is the typical legal minimum in most states, but nobody cares.I agree and the cost of replacing the windshield would make that useful.

Due to a couple of windshield repairs from tiny pebbles I could barely even hear and forum comments that a windshield replacement had to be done at the service center (an all day affair since I live 120 mi away), I decided to put an exoshield on. The cost was $500, but I would have to say I am pleasantly surprised...as I have had numerous pings on the windshield since and nary a mark. The only complaint is that it is a bit harder to clean than just the plain glass. Really got to scrub those bug guts off! It's the same, no better or worse. The pricing is about standard also. It's probably not much different than other high quality options for window tint. How is the XPEL window film vs other ceramic options?
